Testimonials
The time spent reading up on the history and current state of online learning was the biggest surprise to me. I truly benefitted from these activities / articles. Our school started a district Moodle space last year. Only a handful of teachers have been experimenting with course creation. Your course has equipped me with research, experience, links and confidence to not only create and maintain my own Moodle, but to also help others do the same.
Online learning takes more than just links on a web page. I’ve learned that one must design the lessons to truly engage and lead the student through a series of activities which result in the accomplishment of set goals and standards.

This was quite possibly the most valuable class I’ve taken since becoming a teacher 23 years ago. The value of what I learned especially in terms of its ability to be applied to my classroom is impossible to measure. I really think it’s changes my classroom forever. I have recently become the social studies department head in my school district and I think I am so much better equipped to help other teachers be more innovative in terms of 21st century educational literacy than I was before completing this course that, again, it’s difficult to measure.
I found the class to be very well organized with more than enough resources to help me really get comfortable with the technologies discussed.

This course exceeded my expectations of learning about Web 2.0. I feel confident that I have met all of the Primary Learning Outcomes for this course and then some. This course has certainly been hands-on, and though I was a little scared to do some of the assignments, I got through them with a new understanding of technology.
I look forward to implementing some of the Web 2.0 technologies that I learned in this course. My students will be amazed that I know what I am talking about when it comes to using the computer!! They are usually the ones to teach me new things on the Internet. Thanks for a great course!
